PETER OBI DROPS A BOMBSHELL 😱

Amidst the surge in food prices and the prevailing economic hardships gripping the nation, Ukraine's government recently contributed 25,000 tonnes of wheat as emergency food aid to 1.3 million vulnerable individuals in Nigeria's northeastern region. This gesture, while commendable, has been characterized by Mr. Peter Obi as disheartening, highlighting the nation's failure to adequately care for its citizens.

The Labour Party Presidential Candidate, expressing his sentiments on X (formerly Twitter), emphasized that this incident underscores a national disgrace rooted in years of leadership failure. Mr. Obi stressed the need for urgent reflection and a reordering of national priorities and resource management.

Although acknowledging Ukraine's rare generosity, Mr. Obi lamented that Nigeria, once economically confident with vast arable land and abundant resources, now relies on a war-torn Ukraine for food assistance. He asserted that such a situation underscores the crucial role of sound political leadership as a primary requirement for a nation aspiring to develop and improve its citizens' standard of living.

In his full statement, Mr. Obi appreciated Ukraine for their donation, acknowledging the irony that a nation engaged in a brutal war with Russia still extends aid to Nigeria, a nation officially at peace. He highlighted the shared humanity demonstrated by Ukraine's act of solidarity but underscored the urgent need for Nigeria to address its leadership failures and reallocate resources for a sustainable and self-sufficient future.

Despite the conflict, Ukraine feeds itself, and exports agricultural products worth over $ 25 billion which is about the same value as our crude oil export earnings, and it serves as a strategic global food supplier, even providing aid to a peaceful yet unproductive Nigeria.

To overcome this embarrassment, we must aggressively reorder our priorities by investing resources in productive sectors like agriculture. Addressing insecurity is crucial for farmers to return to their fields, enabling a productive manufacturing sector and supporting small businesses.

In 4 to 5 years, this concerted effort can reverse the current trend, leading us toward a productive and New Nigeria that I believe is possible and within reach.

Despite ongoing conflicts, Ukraine sustains its own population and exports agricultural goods valued at over $25 billion, a figure comparable to our earnings from crude oil exports. It plays a vital role as a global food supplier, extending aid to Nigeria, which, though peaceful, struggles with unproductivity.

To overcome this predicament, we must vigorously reassess our priorities, channeling resources into sectors with high productivity, such as agriculture. Addressing insecurity is paramount for farmers to resume their agricultural activities, fostering a thriving manufacturing sector and supporting small enterprises.

With concerted efforts over the next 4 to 5 years, we can reverse the current trajectory, propelling us toward a productive and rejuvenated Nigeria, a vision I firmly believe is attainable and within grasp.

...to walk down that aisle.  The spirit of motivational speaking left me, the spirit of boldness left me. My mind wasn’t at peace. I stood up gently and walked out of the auditorium, not minding if there was heavy downpour. I walked into the rain, I was soaked but it didn’t matter. “Excuse me madam” a lady’s voice screamed behind me. But I didn’t turn. I drove off that evening, in my wet body. *** The next morning, I woke up in pains. I felt my panties wet. I knew something was wrong, I dipped my hands into my panties and saw blood. It was menses, I cleaned up and prepared the kids for school. As I alighted from the car to drop them in their classes, a woman dressed in a corporate attire approached me. “You are so weak, why did you allow a common maid to take away your husband?” she asked boldly. But I didn’t reply. I dodged her and took the kids to their classes. As I drove home, my phone rang. It was Salma the choir mistress of hills ministries. I picked the call reluctantly. “He...
